can u believe that for the psychology disorder thing david did the quiz and he got nothing or low for everything?!!! i dun believe him... i think he cheated although he said he didnt.... humph!
actually let me try uploading a photo.. not from today though since i didnt take any pics today..
went to church today hey... it was a traditional one.. didnt seem to quite 'fit in'.. dunno if its because im too 'charismatic' already... like they didnt clap their hands or lift their hands or speak in tongues and stuff like taht.. they didnt even sing fast songs.. i mean, that is not an issue but what was really hard to follow is that they sang the fast songs slow! they only had a piano and singers although the harmony was really good though! :) but yeh... there was the full doxology and scripture reading bit! rather interesting and a different experience but i just dun think its for me... hahaa... oh well.... at least i get to see different types of christians i guess... but apparently this church used to be sooo traditional that ppl got kicked out for speaking in tongues.. now they are more open though.. its the church just a minute drive from this house.. its even closer than zion from my place! hahaha :D
anyway.. the church service ended like at 10.10am. started at8.45am.. so i guess it was pretty short huh... went home and slept.. then ate dinner.. then on the net.. the net is the only thing that entertains me atm.. to keep in touch with family n friends too i guess.. but the internet is annoying me coz its not really working properly sometimes!!!

ok.. i shall not be so boring and keep writing in black... i think it is only recently that blogger has this colour thingo... havent been taking much pics in canada... maybe i should.. and guess what i think i jsut found the image upload button! ahahha :D anywayz...
had a really boring day.... how much more boring can it get huh?
got up... went on msn in the morning since it is at night in perth and that is when everyone is on.. then i showered and ate lunch... then i went to sleep (nothing to do).. then i went eat dinner.. then i couldnt sleep at nite! so i tried reading a book and tried sleeping again...
i just have to say that the interent is really annoying no offence! first msn n icq keeps kicking me in and out of that place... i dunno wat is the prob.. hopefully its the internet home connection and i wont have this problem at the uni or it will really DRIVE ME CRAZY!

went to the US/Canada border today.. immigration actually coz the other homestay student had to get his visa sorted out! so yah.. quite interesting actually.. it is like the border between Malaysia and Singapore I think hey... like so easy access thru (like you can either walk or drive over) except now apparently you nee da visa to get into US since the 911 incident and the visa cost US$100 although it is valid for 10 years...
hmm.. then later we also went to shopping at this supermarket called T&T... it is some big taiwanese supermarket here acutally.. like it's like a normal supermarket except it tells all the asian stuff! pretty neat idea.. stuff there is not that expensive from what i can tell...
difference between perth and vancouver i have discovered so far:
1. i have friends and family in the former but not the latter
2. stuff is measured in kg in the former but lb in the latter
3. lefthand drive vs right hand drive
aiya.. anyway, later went for some chinese pastor prayer meeting thing.. it ended up being him praying for people... or well maybe that was the intention but at first i thought it was a prayer meeting. anyway.. he prayed for me in mandarin.. didnt quite understand all of it but bits and pieces i guess.. then it dawned on me:
God doenst only listen and speak in english.. can you imagine all the differnet ppl from the world praying and speaking to God in all the different languages? how amazing isit that God understands it all?!!! its like being bilingual is hard enough but think more incredible our God is huh!!! :)
hmm.. i think i should change my blog time to MY time even though it is 15h behind everyone in singapore and perth... but otherwise the dates im posting these won't really correspond with what;s happening here..
oh.. n it is summer here btw and like 16 degrees... i wonder how freezing i would be in winter!!

im in vancouver.. been here for the last 4h i suppose although i did spend 1h in the airport like practically waiting for my luggage to come out!
it's like 4pm vancouver time and 7am the next day perth time atm... i miss everyone... :( *sob sob*
vancouver is practically like perth, so far i reckon.. it's so quiet, empty, not much happenings... i dun like how they drive on the right side of the road.. it's so confusing.. at least from my point of view...
and im going to have spent C$315 at the end of these 5days just homestaying! and the canadian dollar is 'stronger' than the australian too... im going to have no more money left!
i want to enjoy this place... but at the moment im not! sitting in front of this computer and feeling sad...
maybe i shouldnt have gone on exchange at all!
someone come visit me?! :)

so sad.. david went back to perth today! :(
now im really without family (apart from rallies in singapore), boyfriend and friends (well, apart from sherlene and dom atm)... but when i go to canada.. then i will really be alone... *sobz*
but today we went to cornerstone.. it is quite a good church.. very good church i must say.. worship was pretty good.. i think it was abit spontaneious coz a couple of the songs werent in the service list i think or either the projectionist is very blur.. but ps yang spoke on the spirit of balaam... so interesting.. neva really knew this story and understood it as clearly as i did today... it was a 'strong' message but good one i think...
took us quite a drama to get to cornerstone though.. first we didnt know the address and service time so ah yang kor this morning told me it starts at 10am and they ahve a shuttle bus provided by cornerstone that goes there.. just look for alot of ppl perhaps with kids lining up to go to the bus there.. so we were abit in a rush so we took a taxi there.. who knows.. there was some brisk walk thing and there was a flood of ppl!!! and so many buses... so its like we had no idea wat to do but look blur for a good 15min before realising that even if there was a bus we probably wold have missed it.. so we took a taxi there instead and said "katong oreon, east coast.. there's a church there" as directed by my cousin.. the taxi was like yeh he knows there are a couple of churches there.. so we got on the street and like there was this church and it wasnt cornerstone.. so we were kinda lost loh.. had no tel number or contact and no idea where we were or how cornerstone looked like.. but oh well.. yeh... he drove drove and good thing the cornestone sign caught my eye and so voila! we got there... only when we got that did we realise that the service doesnt actualy start at 10am but 10.45am! so we had to wait lah! and also, they dun have the shuttle bus to church anymore because apparently there is a direct public bus from woodlands to get to cornerstone.. so yahz.... hahahaa :D wat an adventure it sounds but trust me, i woudl have rather gotten more sleep!!!
anyway... while walking to the bus stop after church we stopped by to eat the 'katong famous laksa' but then later we realised that there were alot of 'famous ones' so we didnt know whether we ate the right one anyway... oh well.. it was nevertheless nice.. after that we met ling jia and uncle robin for lunch at zion road... rojak, prawn mee, fried kway teow, popiah and desert! *yum0*.. again it was quite a drama meeting them coz we didnt know which bus to take but we went on a random one and good thing in went to cityhall around the place we knew to walk to swissotel... hahahaa... felt abit like that time me, jap and sherlene went on a random bus that took us to dunno where! lolx :D

yesterday we went to desmond's church.. called new life community centre... was quite an alright church.. they worship in orchard hotel... in the night we met ling jia and uncle robin for dinner and then we went to watch the last display of fireworks! there were so many people.. thats wat i cant stand about singapore!! but we went some old veteran comedian.. and took a pic with him! hahaa.. his name is wu something i think...
anyway, the day before that we were at bugis and sim lim square! and guess who i met at bugis junction?!!! mabel!!! she like came up to me and goes: "is your name by any chance grace?" and i was like "yeh.. and you are?" then she introduced herself... she looks really different though! like she was shorter than me, slimmer and was wearing contacts.. i thought she was abit like siting in holland v! hahaha :p
