got another parking infringment today... so stupid!!!!
this is the story...
i have these red permit parking coupons right.. so what i hve to do is write the date on... so the thing is that i went to uni and wrote the 30/5/06... went to my classes, was happy and all... then i went to the computer labs and i was just reading my email which says i have to do this mystery shopping thing on thurs 1 June.. so i was like if thurs is the 1st then wed woul dbe the 30th whcih means today (tuesday) would be the 29th.. so i ran to my car and went to write out another coupon which says the 29th... went to IGA to buy some chocolate since its the last week of uni and i thought i would buy something for my students... anyway, went backt o park my car and richard was there.. so he was just talking about the snoopy on my car and how its good taht i got the red permit to park int he red zone... and then i also happen to notice the parking inspector there and so i was just saying how the parking inspector was booking someone and he was still telling me i have nothing to worry because i have the permit...
went off to lunch... during lunch we were talking about how someone's bday was on 30th.. and it was acutally in june but he thought we were in june but we were in may.. that was when i realise that may has 31 days!! and so i had put the wrong date on the coupon... so i rushed back to check my car and was quite happy that i didnt get fined and so i changed it back to the right date but after my class, i went to my car again to grab something and that was when i noticed the infringment.. it was all wet and stuff on my windscreen... :(
went to the unipark office to try and explain the situation.. like its not that i wanted to cheat the system and reuse yesterday;s coupon because i dont got to uni on mondays.... but anyway, it was that fat woman again (i think if you go to UWA you would know who im talking about) and basically she didnt really care and told me no point appealing.. better off that i pay the fine and at least get a discount for paying early... but man... $45 just for a silly mistake................

so ive decided to take the train to uni and save some money on fuel and parking!

*YUM* food at the hyatt is so nice...
bao, julie, sherlene and myself decided to indulge at the buffet.. we pretty much stayed there for a really long time.. around abouts 3h there... hahaha :D julie had to go pay for more parking! lol :p anyway, plates and plates of seafood... salmon, prawns, mussels, oysters.. many sweet desserts... seriously, at the end of it i was just too full to do anything.. felt like sleeping.. hahaha :) but we decided to park at sherlene's place since its near the city and then walk to the city to burn everything off...
i bought myself a dress and we also got julie a dress for her bday.. so happy with the dress i bought! kinda rash and impulsive.. coz since julie was going to try a dress, i thought i will try the dress that was on the mannequin since it look quite nice... so i did.. and the girls thought it looked good on me and suited me (the whole sweet/cute/princess look)... its a tube top with a ribbon.. black and white print thing... it was $150, abit on the steep side for a dress that is not that formal but i dunno.. just felt like rewarding myself for the hard work i have done all semester.. hehehe :p thinking of wearing it to wei's wedding dinner in 2 week's time.. so should have a photo up by then... julie's dress was also nice although she was too scared to come out and fully show it to us... brown and very princess/babydoll-ish :)
oh btw, i stole ur photo sherlene!!! *grin* :)

so julie organised a bbq at uni becuse being julie and having nothing to do,
was bbq-ing at matilda bay.. haha.. isn't UWA the best campus?!!! :) hahaha..
anyway, so i had to give a class at 1 but then i fnished early so i walked bak to the bbq.. hahaha :D
all ican remnember was that it was freezing cold that day even though it looked like i was the most warmly dressed person there, it was COLD.. i dun think canada has trained me much.. hahaz :D

never knew this graduate employment thing can be so competitive...
numerous phone calls from employers, negotiations (well, KPMG actually revised their graduate remuneration package) and numerous invitations to lunches/cocktails...... which did get me a little stressed out at times as to which firm I should pick...
anyway, i've decided to take up the offer at PwC..
so next year, i will be joining as a consultant in the Private Client Services division of Tax and Legal..
not that I've done law... or not that i've done taxation! ^^
funny, isn't it?
anyway, i don't know whether to look forward to it or not, or whether i'm really prepared for all this... no more long summer holidays, random shopping trips, nice long lunch breaks or sleep-in episodess... on the bright side, isn't that what school/uni was meant to prepare you for?

had my Prize Giving Ceremony for 2005...
wow... you see some students winning multiple awards (they must be really smart)
anyway, was glad that i got to see Julie and that she could attend it with me and my dad... joy was going to go but then she somehow mis-remembered (if there is even such a word) the time and so didn't make it in the end... my mum was meant to go but then she was not feeling that well with her body aching.. and david was meant to go except one of his classes that was cancelled got put on that day and time..

sherlene's bday!
what can i say to a great friend who has just turned 21? but seriously, like i said in my speech, words cannot describe who you are as a person... the only way to know how you're like is to know you... thanks for your friendship all these years! :)
anyway, she had her celebration and it was great fun.. chocolate and champagne was the theme! *yummm..*

PWC is kinda sweet.. i dunno why im refering to PWC like a person.. hmm.. anyway, they wanted to surprise us and so they invited us all along to breakfast and wanted to 'pretend' it was the final stage of the process.. so yeh... there wasn't too many of us and so we kinda figured maybe we got the job? but the scary thing was when they started to call us out one by one... haha.. nah.. they took us to a room and then gave us champagne and cake and all with our contracts in a nice folder and then later we enjoyed breakfast with some of the staff :) so that is my job offer with PWC as a consultant in the tax and legal department under private clients services..
got a call from KPMG to say I got accepted to into the audit division..they are going to send my contract in the mail.. so i guess it is up to me now to decide which one i shoudl take up..
or should i just keep waiting and then go for the government jobs? like tresury or finance.. hmmm...
