finally submitted my paper for the conference.. but then in the afternoon, it dawned upon me that COB sydney time is earlier than COB Perth time! well, i ended up emailing the paper through at about 3.15pm perth time.
anyway, i also just want to say that i am so impressed with my supervisor.. he is SO GOOD... he edited my paper and picked up so many mistakes and stuff...and he is like SO SMART...

had sam's farewell and early bday celebration party.. some of us we had our face painted too... i was painted the rabbit.. and then i painted chi yen's face: the vegetable garden! food supply for me! :p

the proof of the handiness of carry a camera at all times...
had one of those road incidents where my mum was driving.. she went to the other lane and apparently we hit the other car.. the thing was that we didn't even know it happened coz we didn't hear anything or feel anything... anywayz, the guy honked then he came out of his car.. my mum thought he wanted to come bash us up or something so she locked the car doors and just wind down her window slightly... well, the guy told us to pull over the side of the road after we crossed the traffic junction and we did...
my mum got out of the car and started talking to him, checking his car, etc.. it wasn't that bad at all.. then my mum came back to the car and told me to take some photos just in case something else happens and he blames us... so yes.. he was quite nice about it acutally... like after we pulled over and that... the typical "no worries".. my mum said he had a nicer tone after i got out of the car and started taking photos... she said maybe coz i was a young girl and he wanted to act 'gentlemanly'.. hahahaa :D

hanh's birthday party!
yeh.. another person turning 21... hehee :)
we had to dress as something beginning with "H" and human didn't count :(
so i dressed as a housewife.. others came as a hippie, hell's angel, hawaians, heroin addict, humbug, hostess, high schooler, highness... and of course, hanh was dressed as hanh.. not fair! ;p
anyway.. err, we got her a piece of land on the moon for her bday.. hahaa :D kinda cool huh? something that u can bring with you everywhere (well, look at anyway)
at the end of the party, something funny happened and then i just ran away ^^

had a human fooseball competition.. thanks to sherlene who organised the competition..

starting to get to quite an exciting stage of my thesis..
also, since i have to submit a paper for my conference on my research in progress.. it's also very intersting now that i'm starting to write stuff about the data..
i really needa do a literature review soon tho!!!

my first day at work at evans and tate... so basically what i am meant to do is help with the liquor licence return... was going thru heaps of paperwork/accounts today... kinda confusing but so far i get the hang of it..
my parents invited people over for dinner and so a group of us decided to play murderer-and-detective.. it was good fun..
before that we were playing "spoons" which is basically heart attack. instead of piling up the hands, you have to grab a spoon, or in our case, a pen from the centre and whoever is the last one to grab it loses.. and we made the loser do a penalty... some included shaking one of the adult's hand and then bowing/curtseeing, hopping around the adult table, asking one of the adults to get a glass of water for them...

went horse-riding with julie... pretty exciting.. my horse's name was greco and julie's horse was called jebus.. they are supposedly best friends... but my horse kept farting and even stopped one time to do a poop.. it didn't like following behind julie's horse coz it bit the butt once too! anyway, the horses had a natural instinct to trod and run really quickly and we had to restrain it.. feel so sorry for them but i couldn't risk falling off!!
had lunch and then went to buy todd's 21st present with marsh and julz.. met elyse and sarah there so we had a chat and stuff.. talking about partners/bfs/gfs and stuff and according to sarah, she put down peter and me as the most likely people to get married first... eeks!

embarrassing story today...
arranged to meet julie in the city at 830 for the myer sale because she has to work at 11 later.. anyway, after parking my car, i was rushing for the train and so i was running running.. the train was coming coming....
i manage to get into the train.. but it was only half my body and then the door shut on me!! then i tried using my sides to push it open but the door won't barge... i thought that the door will reopen and shut again right, but it didn't!
so what happened was that these 2 guys ran to the door and then each pulling one side, they opened the door and i managed to get in...
being so embarassed, i said a gentle "thanks" and quickly found a seat on the train hoping that all the other people on the train weren't laughing at me internally...
oh so embarrassingg.... especially at that time of the day with mostly business people...

our day out in proxy for our 3rd year anniversary which falls when im on camp...
started off with a picnic in a tent, it started to drizzle and abit but good thing it wasn't pouring..
then headed to fremantle.. the orignal plan was to scooter around freo but then there was a gas leak and quite a few streets got closed off and so that shop was also not operating... so we just stuck with the motor museum... some interesting stuff...
police car!!! beware! run away from the fierce officer / first bicycle.. that is how it originated!
brrooom.. here we go! / 1st race kart to reach 100miles/h or something like that! ;p
cool.. look at the racing cars.. / this is actually a door handle!! neat huh?
im a mechanic! / australia's oldest beetle / david's crocodile hunter in the jeep
finally we had dinner at oyster bar on the foreshore... food was not too bad.. i had the seafood trio and david had the duck and we had oysters and sashimi for entree...
